gPHPEdit is a PHP/HTML/CSS Development Environment for Gnome 2.x. I have used this tool for less than an hour and already liked it more than EditPlus 3.

Feature are:

Syntax Highlighting - Easily see where your strings are broken with Syntax Highlighting
Coding Assistance - Can't remember the parameters for eregi? Let gPHPEdit help you...
Syntax Checking/Navigating Code - Problems with your code, the wavy red line will show you where!
Integrated Help - No more hammering the PHP manual pages online, now it's all integrated
