OK So I finally have arrived. Between Cleo and Nobbers constantly goading me into joining here, and Cleo inviting me, well, here I am.
So I haven't done any programming since BASIC and my mind isn't in a good state right now to learn but at some point I would like to learn how to do some coding stuff so hopefully this site will come in handy in that regard.

Here are my blogs:
http://petercfrank.blogspot.com/http://nitestar.gather.com/Oh and just another resource for us tech junkies, Uncensored BBS.
For old-school feel, you can use secure shell to login. just ssh:bbs@uncensored.citadel.org (Linux users should have ssh installed by default; all others can use
Putty SSH program. If you SSH and get a "Login as:" prompt, enter "BBS". Otherwise at the "Enter your name:" prompt enter the name you'd like to use on the BBS (think of BBS as old-school forums). If you get prompted for password then the username is taken. Otherwise it will tell you username is not found and prompt you if you'd like to create a new account.
Or you can use the web interface. It's at
http://uncensored.citadel.org/.
Uncensored BBS is abbreviated as UCG for some reason. They sysop who runs UCG also is pretty much in charge of Citadel e-mail and groupware FOSS project (
http://www.citadel.org/)
So I've been online since about 1986 or so (I was very young back then) and a member of UCG since about 1990-ish.

IOW I'm a big-time tech geek
