This is a very useful tool, that I use since i found it not long ago:

as long as u don't register, the logo will appear evry 5 seconds in the middle of the screen if u play the converted file 

Whatever, if I can use this tool, this means that it is idiot-proof. Besides that, I can add that it is quite fast IMO.

I think you can use VLC Media Player to convert between most of the formats that this program does, and without the annoyance of the graphic showing up every five seconds.
